A friend recently said he wished he could get a paddle today that was made from solid wood. Technically this one is not all solid wood. The shaft has a 1/8" strips laminated to each side for added thickness, but I think he will like it anyway.

It is not old growth cypress, but it should last a while.

A Brown Oar Factory design. A friend loaned me his Dad's paddle so I could make a pattern. This is my first attempt to copy the design. I only had a short time to get it made so I had to use some scrap lumber I already had.
