Picked up a new toy for back yard vermin.
Was shooting 13 stripe gophers this past weekend at 100yds
Lot of fun, but not much left to eat

It is a Savage 93R17btvss in 17HMR.
A lot of fun to shoot without breaking the bank.

I've been looking at that cal. for awhile what would it compare with? I have a ruger 22 cal and a 222 for vamint but 222 rounds are expensive

Sorry, first I've seen your post. A 17hmr is the same as a 22 magnum. The only difference is the 17 caliber in a 22 magnum cartridge, just necked down to fit the 17.

You have a BB gun with a muzzle velocity of about 2500 ft/sec. Like shooting a lazer out to about 150yds. :D
